June 16- Galatians 6:7-10

Do our actions always have consequences and are we ready to deal with those consequences?
What are the things that hinder your relationship with God and do you ever blame God for those things?
Does freedom mean we get to do whatever we want or does it mean we can live freely within Godly boundaries?

June 17- Ephesians 5:6-14

If we try to conceal our thoughts and actions from God and othere, should we really be doing them?
How do we discern what we are told without becoming a skeptic and hardened?
How much time do we spend discerning what is good in God’s sight and what we need to stop doing?

June 18- Romans 15:13-16

With what are we to be filled?
How teachable are we to when someone comes alongside us and offers correction or a better way of doing things?

June 19- Romans 12:9-21

Why do we want to take the vengeance that belongs to God and use it ourselves?
Why is it so difficult to be fully present with those who rejoice and even more with those who mourn?
Do we truly love those who may not have our best interest in mind?

June 20- 1 Corinthians 10:23-11:1

If something is culturally good, does it mean that it is Godly?
What does it mean to be an imitator?
How good are we at glorifying God in the mundane?
If our words and actions affect others, does this mean we do not live in a vacuum and our words and actions matter?

June 21- 2 Peter 1:1-11

What does it mean to be partakers of God’s divine nature?
What does it mean to work on our salvation?
Is your walk with God bearing fruit and what does that fruit look like?

June 22- 1 Peter3:8-22

How often do our speech and actions reveal our character and does anything need to change?
Why do personal vendettas never work out?
What is the difference between suffering because of stupidity and Godly suffering?

This is the last message of our sermon series called “Flipped”. In it we have looked at Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. That message turned the world upside down! As we draw to a close, Jesus challenges us to make a choice. Do we want to follow the crowd along the wide and easy road towards destruction? Or, are we willing to do the heavy lifting in our own spiritual lives to stay on the narrow path? This is the way that leads to life. It is not the easy path, but it is the path that brings the greatest joy. Join us as we decide which path to take.

This is week 5 of a six week series called “Flipped”. In it, we are looking at the Sermon on the Mount, and how Jesus turned the world upside down with it! Today we examine materialism. Sometimes it’s wanting to keep up with the Jones’s. Other times we are searching for security and think possessions can bring it. But, ultimately only Jesus gives us what we most need. And our relationships are the second greatest gift from God.

In this message we will look to one aspect of giving found in the Sermon on the Mount. Lord willing, this can give us wisdom to help discern how God is leading us in our own acts of charity.
