August 16 – Luke 6:46-49

  • Is confession without obedience pointless?
  • What is the point of reading Scripture and praying if we do not put into practice?
  • What is your foundation built on?

August 17 – James 1:22-25

  • How often do we read God’s word and then forget what we read or fail to put it into practice?
  • How does hearing God’s word demand a response?
  • Does being obedient to God’s commands really give us freedom?

August 18 – John 13:1-17

  • Are we willing to serve even if it means betrayal or death?
  • Why can the messenger not be greater than the one who sent them?
  • Is there a connection between the washing of feet with Jesus sacrifice and the forgiveness of sins?

August 19 – Luke 8:19-21

  • What does it mean to be blessed?
  • Does God really want all or nothing from us?

August 20 – Luke 11:23-28

  • Does having a faith that does not rock the boat do more harm than good?
  • How does having a solid foundation keep us focused and on point?
  • Does Jesus really define what our family’s and friend’s look like?

August 21 – Proverbs 8:32-36

  • If we neglect God, do we really love death and destruction?
  • How do wisdom and waiting go together?
  • Why is it important that we are intentional about seeking God and His wisdom?
  • What good is it to have Godly wisdom if we do not put it into practice?
