October 2 – James 1:19-27

Do we listen so we can formulate a response, or do we listen so that we hear what the other person is saying?

What is the point of knowing something if we do not put it into practice?

Does fear of anger lead to apathy?

October 3 – Ephesians 4:11-16

Does the using of our gifts propel us to maturity, and if so, how?

Does speaking the truth in love allow us to be a jerk about it?

How can the church grow if it is always someone else’s job to teach, evangelize, correct and serve?

If forgiveness, both the granting and receiving is part of being a Christian, why do we avoid it like the plague?

How do we go from knowing what pleases God to actually doing it?

If honesty and integrity are the best policy, do we really have anything to hide or to be ashamed of?

October 7 – Ephesians 4:15-20

How is using our time a spiritual discipline and something we can honor God with?

Can we really submit ourselves to others without submitting ourselves to God first?

Is being filled with the spirit another term for sanctification?
