January 21- Nehemiah 5:1-5

  1. How do we handle criticism/discontent from people, within our camp, about an idea or vision?
  2. Since all plans are not perfect, how do we decipher what is an actual issue and what is not?
  3. Do any of our plans/dreams mortgage the future just so there can be a little extra now?

January 22- Nehemiah 5:6-10

  1. How often do we use and manipulate people in our lives to get what we want the with least amount of effort?
  2. If we are to fear God, does this mean that we treat others the way we want to be treated?
  3. How does the way we treat others reflect to the people that watch and are impacted by our lives?

January 23- Nehemiah 5:11-13

  1. Why is it so hard to fix the wrongs without contempt?
  2. What are the consequences of not doing what God commands us to do?

January 24- Nehemiah 5:14-19

  1. Are we willing to make sacrifices for the betterment of other people, especially our enemies?
  2. When will we realize that our judgement is not the same or as adequate as Gods judgment?
  3. Should we ask God to remember our actions?

January 25- Psalm 51:1-6

  1. How is recognizing our own sin and weakness before God a necessity?
  2. How does confession move us from self-absorption to having joy and delighting in God’s promises?
  3. Do we learn how to sin, or is it something that comes naturally to us?

January 26- Psalm 51:7-12

  1. Can we really have the forgiveness of sin without our hearts being changed?
  2. What are some of the biggest barriers for God changing our hearts?
  3. How does God’s authority give Him the right to judge sin and disobedience?
  4. If we don’t have God’s mercy and His presence, what do we really have?

January 27- Palm 51:13-19

  1. How often do we want to give or do things for God instead of being humble and in right relationship with Him and others?
  2. How does our own spiritual growth and health influence the growth and health of others?
  3. Is God more concerned with right action, right intention or both?
