July 1 – 1 Peter 1:22-2:3

  1. Are focused on the things that matter and are eternal or the things that do not matter and will one day fade away?
  2. Are we growing in our faith, or are we growing stagnant?
  3. Are we loving more, abiding and growing in grace and love, or doing our own thing?

July 2 – John 15:9-17

  1. What is the difference between a servant and a friend?
  2. How do we abide in love?
  3. Why do we struggle with sacrifice, even with people we like and admire?

July 3 – 1 Corinthians 13:1-13

  1. What good are our talents, encouragement and actions if we do not love?
  2. How can we love if we celebrate other people’s demise?
  3. Is there ever an end to Godly love?

July 4 – James 4:1-12

  1. Does judging others mean that we are putting the final nail in their coffin, and do we really have that authority?
  2. How many of our issues with God and others come from jealousy, from what we want and don’t have or from wanting to be in a different place in life?
  3. We all submit to someone or something, so is that thing or person worth submitting to?

July 5 – Romans 12:9-21

  1. Are we wise in our own eyes, the eyes of others, or do we have Godly wisdom?
  2. If we seek to pay people back for what they do to us, are we any different than them?
  3. Is Godly hospitality being fully present to everyone we come into contact with?
  4. What makes it so hard to be fully present with people, especially those who are different than us?

July 6 – Ephesians 4:17-32

  1. If we are a new creation, why are we still doing the things that keep getting us into trouble?
  2. Can anger be a good thing and if so, how do we not let it control our lives?
  3. How is repentance about stopping some bad habit or activity and starting healthy habits?
  4. How do we go about renewing our mind?

July 7 – Psalm 34:1-22

  1. What does it mean to seek and pursue peace?
  2. If God is good, why don’t we rely on and seek Him on a daily basis?
  3. What is the difference between a need and a want?
